Under the supervision of Publications, the Customer Service Department offers community services including typesetting, layout, lamination, telephone/fax, photocopying, comb binding, and digital photography. Income generated from these services is used to subsidize CBM publications, thus allowing even more people to purchase and use CBM resources. Albertha, Nakapo, Jenny, Enoch, and Augusta work hard to ensure timely completion and complete customer satisfaction. They also assist with publications projects whenever time allows. The Accounts Department provides centralised processing and manages the financial records for each of the Bookshops. They coordinate all debtors processing and credit control. They handle all of the accounts payable process. Additionally, they attend to all statutory reporting requirements, sales analysis, cash flow management, bank reconciliations, VAT/SWTA tax returns, and monthly profit/loss and balance sheet reporting. Software including Excel, POS, and ACCPAC help Dennis, Felixcia, and Maria maintain accurate accounts in all their processing. Their statement reports enable Bookshop managers to evaluate their sales progress and determine future budgets. Each year, Rutherfords Chartered Accountants from New Zealand visit the department to conduct their annual audit. During the review process, CBM staff assist the auditors with all requested documentation. The staff's professionalism and commitment to excellence reflect the integrity and core values of Christian Books Melanesia. More Accounts pictures |

Staff duties include building business relationships with domestic and international suppliers to provide quality supplies at low cost. They also coordinate the transportation of goods to Bookshop centres. When the staff receives a purchasing request, they raise a requisition and complete the necessary paperwork. After the requisition is authorized and sent to a supplier, they follow-up orders and ensure that all overseas custom requirements and declarations are fulfilled. The staff also work with Bookshop managers to determine future stock needs. In all their activities, Myra and Kessie seek to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit and maintain their witness for Christ.
